Above is a picture of one of many deep gorges - in one area it looked like the grand canyon
Altars of stones - in the Old Testament, the Prophets, Jewish people made altars to the Lord for sacrifice and offerings as they traveled to honor Him - The altar had 12 stones for the 12 tribes of Israel - We saw altars like this in many places today that people had made. Not sure if they made them for the same reason, because all didn't have 12 stones. I made this altar for the Lord in thanks for all he has done for Frank and I and has given us so many blessings.
This is a view across the street from our RV - nice to wake up and see that view!!!!!
WHAT A WILD COWBOY!!! He just loves wearing those new hiking boots he just purchased.
All these pictures are taken from the National Parks in Moab, Utah. The 2 we visited today were the Arches Park and the Canyonland. Each had so many different landscapes - you just have to be here to appreciate the size, color, depth and formation of the rocks - pictures do not do them justice.
Below just gives you an idea of the size of these rocks - Frank is in the forground and this is one of the smaller formations!!!!!!
This is the "Arches" - the small circle formed on top of this huge landscape. There was a long trail upward that we had to climb to reach this view - can't believe we did it and didn't pass out haha!!!!
Talk about mammoth - roads were very winding with hairpin curves - I drove to the top of the mountain and Frank drove down - we did this from 10am to 6:30 pm, and after that Frank needed a whole rack of ribs. p.s. he couldn't finish them all, so guess what he's having for lunch haha!!!
