Crators to the left upper, and flat black areas
Another steep formation
This sprawling scene has some roadways that you can see in the lower right hand area and towards the middle. In the 50's the government was willing to give money for uranium or oil that was discovered, but due to the hectic rush of droves of people, the excavation was stopped because it was ruining the area. The dirt roads still remain, because it takes decades for the desert foliage to grow, so you can still see the thin trails.
This was an unbelievable sight...massive crators gouged out in the flat black lands as far as the eye could see.
This was to the right of the crators. Boy, I wish we had a camera that could take panamoric views. How could there be so many different formations in the same area. Every time we went around a formation, there was a different one to see. Some areas with just rock formations and others with beautiful foliage and bright orange rock formations.
This area is massive with all different rock formations and the lower canyon was totally green. God truly has given us many gifts to discover - the beauty of His Creations are astounding. Tomorrow morning we will be on our way to Salt Lake City.
WE THANK THE LORD THAT HE HAS GRANTED US GOOD HEALTH, AND TRAVEL MERCIES TO ACCOMPLISH THIS BEAUTIFUL VENTURE, AND THAT HE CONTINUES TO PROTECT OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS AT HOME. P.S. IF YOU SINGLE CLICK ON EACH PICTURE YOU WILL GET A LARGER VIEW OF THE PICTURE.
